Default HELP, crashed jeep, need parts

Well, 2 weeks into having my license and jeep, i just about rolled it over a hill. Some trees stopped me and damaged my drivers side abit. Its a 97 2 door xj with a AX15. Just wanted to know if any parts from older xj's would fit on mine. I think ill probably have to replace the drivers side front fender, and the header around the grill

Were you hurt, well the main thing is the Jeep is OK and still drivable.

Just hit up the junkyard for parts door and fender shouldn't be hard to find.

No injuries from the crash. And yea I know parts should be easy to find, but could I take something off of like a 96 and older xj, or would it not fit? Cause I know there's some differences between 97+ xj's, and 96 and older

The hinges are different. Prob a lot easier to get 97+ doors. Plus u have better foldable mirrors anyway.

The door panel from 97+ look better

I think my doors fine, i just need to know if the fiber glass piece around the grill (i think ive seen it called the header) from pre 97 will work, and also the front drivers side fender. The door somehow was protected from all dents or scrapes haha

The fenders are different but they should bolt up with minor work. If ur only getting one side of fender, better to get one from matching body style or replace both at same time.

The header panel can be from 96 or older but again, it matches the fenders so if u get older header panel. It may look funny with the newer fender.

Oh, just get stuff from '97 and later. No drama and no angst. No more worrying about compatibility.

Thanks guys, my grandparents got the quote today to get it all patched up at the body shop. I'd do it, but the roofs a little caved in, and id rather not bondo it. Anyways, they figured it was pretty reasonable. Jeep should be lookin 100% in no time
