Hey Jeep lover
we got a new member in our family. It is a cherokee 93 v6 4.0. Jeep grand cherokee laredo

It is from a family friend of mine and i dont know too much about it but it seems to be in great condition running great besides one problem,
when i drive it around for about 30 minutes the oil pressure drops down from 60 to 50 hand starts to fluxuate when i hit the gas.
shortly after the front 2 brakes start to lock up slowly, starting off gradually and eventually i have to give an excessive amount of gas to keep the car moving.
after a short while the brakes lock up and the brakes will start smoking....

if i let the car and brakes cool down its back to normal running smooth as butter

any ideas on what the cause of this may be? any chance i could just lubricate the pins in my calipers? or is this a much bigger problem?

after my brakes lock up and i shut the car off it seems to want to run in limp mode until it cools down. please help!

 

I've been fighting brake problems on mine since day 1.

Start with lubing the slide pins, and make sure the knuckle where the brake pads doesn't have a groove deep enough to make the pads hang up. And being that old change the rubber lines. That was my issue making mine want to lock up.
