I have a 2001 Cherokee sport, I just bought it about 1 month ago.

The previous owner put in an aftermarket air intake, that I don't want to use.

I tried to get a used OEM air cleaner assembly from a junk yard and I 'think' they sent me the wrong part.

I see on the AFTERMARKET part 2 hoses, one for the throttle body and one for the breather tube.

I see on my "2001 OEM" THREE hose connections, one for throttle body, one for breather tube, and one for.... I don't have a clue.

The one in question is the one I'm pointing to in the pictures.

I think it got an earlier airbox (not for a 2001), but you guys know for sure so thats why I'm here.

*edit* after further investigation, i dont know what it goes to in the older jeeps... but from pictures i see of 1999's and up, their box doesn't have it... and the intake on the lower front is blocked by my jeep body, so no air could get in anyway, and the holes on the bottom dont line up...
