Do I need a transfer case drop kit with a 6" lift if I have a sye and Cv driveshaft

 

NO the t-case drop is a bandaid for the lack of a SYE.

 

So can I use a TC drop instead of a sye till I get some more cash to buy it?

 

In other words will I mess anything up without the sye and driveshaft

All depends on the vehicle. Some people run a drop and never get a sye and some still have bad vibes without one. It's a trial and error thing. Do the drop and save up for the sye and hopefully the ride won't be too bad. Pre 96 models tend to do better due to the slip yoke on the t-case having the drive shaft retainer with a bearing.
