Default hello peeps:

need help with brakes this is new to me, i replaced master cyl, calipers and brake pads, and then bled all 4 bleeder ,it has good pressure when car is turned off,but when i turn the motor on the brake pedel goes all the way down to the floor, so i took out the master cyl and adjusted the push rod coming from the booster into the mastercyl, that help out alot, but when i take a ride for 20 minutes, the brake pedal becomes really hard and smoke coming from the rotors.............. any help would be good thank you

Readjust rod,you have to much pressure on master cylinder and you are holding pressure on pads, they cannot release. It is the same as driving with your foot on the brake pedal all the time.

Default thanx

i will adjust it back a little.

but theres one thing, it has normal pressure when i first start the jeep up, then when driving it for about 10 to 20 mins, i've notice that when the water temp reaches 210 and the oil guage drops to around 20-30 thats when the brake pedal becomes hard with a burning brake pad smell,
this happens all at once.

the radiator is topped off as well as the engine oil.

could adjusting the push rod to much forward cause the water temp to rise and the oil to drop??????????

this is confusing

thanx

It is hard to say without seeing it but it sounds to me like ou have the brakes applied all the time and if that is the case it will take more hp just to move your jeep down the road and this will cause your engine to work harder and your brake fluid to heat up causing this, once you back off on the brakes,i think you will see things change.
