Default Heavy resistance in steering

So heres an interesting one. My old steering box was leaking and had a lot of play in my 96. I tightened up the adjuster screw too much I think and it felt like the steering was binding when making large turns. I didn't feel safe diving like that.
I had a good steering box from a running 98 that I swapped in. bled it and went for a ride. no more binding, but ive got a bad wobble at 40-50mph now, previously did not have this problem. Also requires a fair amount of effort to turn even when moving. Almost feels like manual steering if I'm not moving. Im sitting on 33s.
I'm kinda baffled on why this is happening right after installing a fresh box. Any ideas?

Can you find anything loose to account for the wobble? Pitman arm? Have someone turn the steering left to right while you feel each link in the steering for slippage.
The steering gear is the same from 1984-2001, that shouldn't be an issue. The pump may be going south though. 96-up uses the same pump.

Went underneath again and checked for anything loose and can't find anything. I'm baffled cuz I wasnt experiencing these problems before. I think I may do the wj pump swap if this doesn't improve
