Hello Everybody

so I bought a 99xj sport 2 months ago.
The temp outside today was not very cold only in the 40’s. I fired up the heat, but even after driving about 1/2 hour, the temperature of my heat was not very warm. I had the thermostat set to as high as it could go, and the blower was on high. Please can someone point me towards what I need to do to get this heater temperature warmer. Fan output was strong, just not very warm.
I cannot go through the winter without getting this fixed.

First thing I'd do is flush the heater core in both directions. That'll likely flush out a bunch of crud and give you more heat. The other thing you might want to do is check to be sure the blend door is operating properly. There are threads on here about doing both, so poke around and see if you can find some good info.

Just for reference, when everything is in proper repair, these things will roast you with outside temps in the 20s.
