I've got a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic with a heater switch problem - it only works on the highest speed..
My dad had the same problem with his 1991 Cherokee Sport a few years ago but he doesnt remember what the fix was for it.
Has anyone else had this problem? if so, please let me know how to fix it.
Thanks
ps. the fuses and relays are all good. that was the first thing i checked.

The switch has several levels which can be the switch itself or the connection. The electric blower motor can run at any speed the switch tells it to run at provided that the contacts are all good.
I have never torn a switch apart but if it were mine I would attempt that first.

It could be your HCV, I don't even know if the 00's have them, mine is a 94. Theres a vacuum line to it that will stick sometimes, you can manually pull them apart and WD-40 it.
