Default Heater not working

I've tried basic trouble shooting the problem, but my defroster only works enough to defrost the windshield, but no heat comes from the vents. I dont know what details to give you guys besides its an 88. Any suggestions on what to check?

My a/c does not work as well.

Is there any heat at all? Might be a blocked heater core.

verify the coolant level, if it is low possibly an air lock in heater core. this would give you not heat. check the water valve under the hood (I think the older ones had these) good luck

make sure the heater valve is opening. not sure what years used it but a vac hose on the tee from the expansion tank to the heater core. took mine out and put in a manual shut off.

Does it leak inside the passenger floor boards at all ? I dont know much about 88 but they usuaslly put the heater core inside the dash and if it leaks it gets in the car. If you have a window or two fogging up and it wont clear up you leaking anti freeze inside the car. Is it over heating at all?
