Title says it all. Puts out warm air, not hot air. Could it be the thermostat or a clogged up heater core? Hoping for the thermostat. Im not sure what temp thermostat is in there. If, by chance, it had a 180 degree thermostat in there, would that cause this condition? Any ideas?
Thanks,

Do you have a temp gauge in the dash? Should read around 200 -210 if you do. A 180 stat should still give good heat. Perhaps you have no stat at all?
Your heater core could need flushing, too.

My temp gauge reads about 190. Below the half way mark. I'll check but it seems to come up to temp pretty fast so I think there is a thermostat in there.

Bet it's weak/poor flow to/thru the heater core. Could also be the heater door under the dash not operating correctly. We run a 180 year round, heater works great even when ambient is in the teens.

Sorry for the old topic bump, didn't see a reason in starting a new for the same issue on same year vehicle. But, mine also blows warm, not hot. Flap works good, temp barely raises on the gauge also, any thoughts

If you say the temp gauge barely raises, that makes me think the t-stat is stuck open (or not even there...)

pulled housing there was no t-stat... I flushed the core anyway installed t-stat and all was well.....

Thanks guys, I was leaning towards as the topic was heading for the op but wanted to confirm it being the same to a likely cause with the gauge barely raising.
