Default Heater core and alternater

So tonight i finally tackled my heater core which took 12 hours and alot of energy and as soon as i started the car to test drive it my check gauges light came on... my alternator wasn't charging. I do have 107k on the stock alt but i found it weird that it happened right after i tore the whole dash out.. i checked all fuses and grounds... i am stumped!!!

Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated!!

Have you verified charging voltage at the battery with a voltmeter? Don't just rely on the voltmeter in the dash.

Also check voltage at the alternator (alt + to ground) to see if there is any battery cable degradation.
