ok i must have had a rope smokin brain fart... i had the heat thermostat on cold (der < little slow sometimes) blower motor doesnt need to be on for it to open correct? just needs to be set to hot? (edit) thanks for the info kenny didnt get your post till after i made this one do you have a pic of how your toggle is set up? i dont see the need to buy the new thermo housing and switch if a can just set it up to toggle when i want it and when i dont the a/c will run it when it needs it. i may set it up like that at a later date when i get more money to throw at the pit.

anyhoo, here's some pics i took of my e-fan toggle. i used a 30A led toggle, 12g wire & about 1 hr of work. my a/c doesn't work right now (future project), so i cut the male connection off @ the harness near the airbox. as with you, little $ requires a bit more savvy, so i'll deal w/ the manual flipping of switch for now.

so, i had to use the same color wire (red) on both splices, but if you follow on this next pic, i found some green/purp 12g to finish it up through the firewall (using a grommet) & to the switch

brown: ground (spliced into cig lighter ground)
red: power (yellow)
grn/prp: load (grey/blk)
