Default Heater & A/C problem..... please read

Ok, i bought this 1994 XJ for $800. the A/C and heat on blew air when the accessories were turned on (the key turned back toward me). so i replaced the blower motor and the resistor, that did not do anything. so i bought the ignition lock switch, and it worked! for 2 minutes now it wont work at all

does any one have any idea???????????????????

try replacing the ignition switch, not the lock cylinder. this is located at the bottom of the steering column and has all the electrical connections on it. you probably bumped it when you replaced the lock cylinder and got it working shortly, which means its loose or has a short.

Instead of just throwing parts at this, do a little trouble shooting first. Get a test light and see if the fan is getting power and work backward. Thee could be a couple of things that could have happened to cause this.
