Default Heater Blower Motor

Sorry if this subject has been beaten too death but couldn't find similiar thread. I have replaced the resistor twice now after losing low and medium fan speed. Now I am getting "a slowing of speed and then a shurging"..Does this sound like the blower motor needs to be replaced and if so, easy to do and how much?? Many Thxs. "Newbee" Charlie in Phoenix.

Hey Chas I really don't know but it sounds like it. A motor will often draw more juice when it's bad. I might think it would blow a fuse before the extra current would fry the resistor but don't know. Might be a bad (or dry)bearing or bushing. Best luck, D.

Yeah, it's your blower motor. I had the same issue with mine. It's not that hard to do. I had never done it and did it following a how-to that I found on google.

Once my Jag blower was so thrashed I was able to slide a new bushing onto the 1/4" shaft that fit neat in the "now" 3/8" hole, neat as pie. Saved a fortune.
