In the midst of a cooling system problem I was having, I tried to crank the heat on my way home from work to help the engine not over heat. However, the heat blew just as cold as the AC. I have always had problems with the AC, and no shop can find a leak, but the heat has always been real good. Just had the AC tuned up for summer, so I was a little surprised to find the heat blowing cold. Any ideas about the problem?

 

What year is it? Your heater core may be completely plugged. I would also check to make sure that the controls are switching from heater to ac.

 

Just flushed the heater core last night as part of an entire cooling system flush. Heat blows warm now. Could be warmer but will definitely do for here in NC. Thanks!
