Exclamation Intercooler Part Cherokee XJ 2.5TD (VM) -HELP!

First of all, HELLO TO EVERYBODY!
My name it's John and I am living (for now) in Spain, country of my wife.
Before I was living "based" in Portugal and travelling all over Europe (plus Angola and South America).
We have a CHEROKEE XJ 2.5TD "60 YEARS COMMEMORATIVE EDITION" FROM 01/2001 (Full Extras), now with 250.000 Kms.
I bought it new and I've been the only driver so far.
A lot of problems in the beginning (1st 6 months, with Chrysler-Jeep Portugal, until I send a letter to USA and present a full claim). After that a very much reliable Jeep, comfortable, low consummations (in my hands, 7,5 Lts/100Kms and less than 9 in the city or off-road) and not an expensive maintenance (well, buying some spareparts in UK or USA).
Calm and safe driving (Scandinavian "style"), In-Road & Off-Road, Ice and Snow, save a lot of money in fuel and spareparts. And protect us from the totally crazy and incompetents portuguese and spanish drivers! Plus too many MILLIONS of Kilometers made with all kind of cars and vans, during 30 years, since Salesman to General Manager in multinational companies (American, Japanese, French and Scandinavian). I saw too much blood and dead people in stupid accidents. Some of them stayed alive once I am a EFR instructor (like PADI and O2 Provider from DAN) and I could help them.

Than... I moved to Spain!
And the nightmare begun.
I will not explain you all the problems, mistakes and "Crimes" the poor Jeep suffered in the hands of the spanish "mechanics". Too long and totally absurd!!!

MY QUESTION:
After the mechanic add to the oil (BP Visco 7000 TD) an addictive (Fortec) to clean the engine, plus another to the diesel fuel (from Fortec too) the Jeep start heating under the Summer temperatures (35 to 40ºC or more).
But that was a consequence!
'Cos the main problem was that the Oil Pressure, always in 4 bars at 2.200 rpm, starts falling to 3.
And even less when under effort (like climbing a mountain road).
Than, in 2 or 3 minutes the temperature raises from the normal 90º to 110º C!!!
Without get hot, the pressure also fall from the normal values (during 11 years). At ralenti to a bit more than 1 bar (it was 2) and in street driving it stays to close to 2 bars (it was 3 or more).
However, everything else was Ok!
Power, Fuel Consummation and so on All Normal!
The engine it's clean and with no leaks at all.
Not consuming a bit of Oil or Cooler Liquid.
Injectors were cleaned (but they were Ok) and Engine Pressure totally normal. "Like NEW" the specialist said, surprised with it.
It's a fact that I Respect the characteristics of the VM (marine) Engine.
After ONE YEAR of "experiences" - quite expensive for us - it seems that the mechanic found the problem and solve it.
I'm waiting to have the Jeep back to confirm it.

HOWEVER, he told me after look at the INTERCOOLER that it is OK with the exception of a kind of "EXHAUST VALVE" it has, which function will be release pressure when necessary.
And he cannot find this spare in Chrysler-Jeep (Fiat!) or aftermarket.
YOU CAN SEE PHOTOS OF THE INTERCOOLER AND THE SPECIFIC SPAREPART IN THE ALBUM "INTERCOOLER".
(It is NOT the EGR)

First of all I don't know the name of this spare in English, neither in Spanish, Portuguese or French.
DO SOMEONE KNOWS IT'S NAME?
Without it I cannot search for it.
And... Obviously Chrysler-Jeep Spain don't have a clue about. Only selling "Mopar" parts (like if Mopar fabricate/produce one screw!)

Plus and if you know it, CAN YOU HELP ME FIND ONE?
New or Rebuilt that's fine.
It's stupid to spend 400 or 500 euros in a new Intercooler, when everything else it's Ok with it.

In advance I thank you for any support and help you can provide me.
Best Regards
J. Howell

PLEASE forgive me for my mistakes expressing myself in English, one of my natural idioms together with Portuguese. And even in French which I learned when I was 7 years old.
3 years living surrounded by the "idioms handicapped" Spaniards (the 2nd worst Europeans right behind the French when it comes to idioms) are paying it's debt, after one entire life in an international and multilingual environment.

It sounds like what we in the United States would refer to as a "blow off valve". I have no idea where you would find one unfortunately.

Turbo diesels don't need blowoff valves - no throttle plate to close.

I'll go looking at my '01 FSM tonight and see if I can find the part you describe

My 2000 parts fiche doesn't have anything like what you describe illustrated. Is it possible you are referencing the turbocharger's wastegate? Though none of this should have much impact on your oil pressure.

Maybe 2001 TD XJs have a slightly different engine than what I'm looking at

xjsnake, maybe there's a blowoff valve right on the intercooler? Has anyone ever replaced those parts before?

Default BLOWOFF VALVE or what it's the name?

Thanks to everybody who answered.
I will try using this name. The "blowoff valve" in the webs from UK.
I'ts a problem to get any help from Chrysler-Jeep, always hiding the Part Numbers from Mopar.
Especially in EU, were they charge from 100 to 500% more of the retail price in USA.
And only sell the FULL SET OF INTERCOOLER!

Sometimes it's possible to find spares in UK webs and for a fair price.

CAN YOU PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTO ALBUM NAMED "INTERCOOLER" IN MY PROFILE?
THERE YOU CAN SEE IT PHYSICALLY.
IT'S THE EXTERNAL PIECE TO THE INTERCOOLER that you can see in the 4th photo.

Thank you for you help and tell me something more if you can after look at the photos.

It will also be useful if you know about good webs in UK selling spare parts for the Cherokee XJ 2.5TD (XJ - VM Motori).
New or Rebuilt (friends told me that they are like new ones. In UK!)
(not easy in USA were the diesel fuel engine it's not common)

Best Regards
JH

P.S. - Just to give 2 examples about how CHRYSLER-JEEP - before and after FIAT bought it - work in Portugal and Spain and some other countries in the E"U":

1. Still in Portugal i decide to change the front wheel HUBS.
I asked for the price in the Jeep dealer were I did the routine maintenance and they ask for 800.00 Euros + plus VAT for EACH!!!
It took me time and effort until I discover that the Hubs where from TIMKEN (it's public knowledge that Mopar doesn't produce ONE SCREW) and than search in USA Webs.
Than I found them. Original spares. Price of BOTH including transport to Portugal 225USD, plus a small amount of taxes in Portugal.

2. Already in Spain I needed to change the Starter Engine.
This after the "mechanics" from Chrysler-Jeep spent 2 months, sucking me a few hundred euros, doing blind shots, trying to find the problem.
First it was the battery (brand new one), than some unidentified (???!!!) electrical problem and son on.
Each visit, each invoice!
Finally I went to another mechanic (the only one who put his hands on the jeep for the last 2 years) and got the confirmation of what I thought since the beginning...
It WAS the Starter Engine!
But NO WAY to find the Mopar Part Number.
We took out the Starter and It was from Bosch.
Bought in a Bosch Official Dealer, the price was a (bit more than) 50% of the "Mopar" Spare Price in Chrysler-Jeep España!!!

DO THE MAINTENANCE OF ANY CHRYSLER-JEEP (OR AMERICAN BRANDS IN GENERAL) IN EUROPE (AT LEAST IN THE SOUTH) IT'S A ROBBERY!!!
