$112 seemed mighty cheap to me. Up here, shop rates are over $75/hour. So, let's put the tasks down and see:
-remove all the handles, lights and trim
-remove old headliner
-remove fabric from old headliner
-scrape and prepare surface free of imperfections
-spray on 1 or 2 cans of adhesive
-wait 15 minutes until tacky
-apply new fabric-same colour as old-ensure no creases
-re-install all lights, handles, trim
-return to customer.
I would have gladly paid $112 to have mine done. If they're charging less than $200 considering all the fiddling around and cost of materials etc., that's a steal. Typically costs $60 just to balance and install snow tires.
It took my brother and I a solid 3-4 hours to do it..but we just kind of bull**** around and we gave about 45 minute to let it dry before we started cutting the holes in it for speakers and such
Use the 3M Super 90. We bond carpet everyday and if applied per the instructions you won't have any issues. Right at $13 at Lowes/Home Depot. Make sure the material is where you want it before you press it down cause it isn't coming off without some work.
