headliner
has anyone with a cherokee xj that have completely taken there headliner out, where it is just the metal? how does it look?

i took mine out, and yeah ther are a couple braces but it looks WAY better than it did when it was in there. i like it just fine
i suggest if u need a new headliner anyway to rip it out and see what u think, if u think its wack jus put a new one in thats your option anyway

Is it the fiberglass part of the headliner that keeps the cab comfortable, or does the fabric help, too? I was thinking of taking the fabric off, sanding it down, and painting the fiberglass. But I don't want the interior to be uncomfortable in hot or cold weather.

that looks sweet. my headliner is in pretty bad shape so thats why im thinkin about takin it completely out and just paintin the metal and stuff! what did you use to put it up cause it looks pretty smooth, and how did you do the visors so well?

Well that pic isn't mine I got it off another post but I'm doing mine like his just in a different material it isn't as hard as you think just get it out clean it buy what ever material you want and use 3M super 90 Hi-Temp get the Hi-temp other wise it will come back off in the summer and just do it in halves glue one side lay the material on then when it is pressed on do the other side. AS for the visors I'm having my Mommy sew the material over the old after I glue it.

o ok. well i dont think im ready for the headliner upgrade yet so im gonna mess around with just the metal and see how that goes. and just go all out with it and if i dont like it then ill do the headliner but i did recover my stock upper speaker box with some camo and it looks insane, thinkin bout tryin it with the visors but i dont think my mommy can sew
