headliner

has anyone with a cherokee xj that have completely taken there headliner out, where it is just the metal? how does it look?

It looks like the top of your jeep, but on the inside with a lot of braces.

Feels like an oven or freezer, depending on the outside temp.

it doesnt look good there are brackets and **** every where its better to just take out the board and paint the borad and put that back up

mines out, but of course my whole top is from a diff. car. i wanted a sun roof =]

i took mine out, and yeah ther are a couple braces but it looks WAY better than it did when it was in there. i like it just fine
i suggest if u need a new headliner anyway to rip it out and see what u think, if u think its wack jus put a new one in thats your option anyway

Is it the fiberglass part of the headliner that keeps the cab comfortable, or does the fabric help, too? I was thinking of taking the fabric off, sanding it down, and painting the fiberglass. But I don't want the interior to be uncomfortable in hot or cold weather.

Or do what I'm doing and do one like this!

did you ever put in a sun roof or did you get a top with one already in it? cause i think a sun roof would be sweet

Well that pic isn't mine I got it off another post but I'm doing mine like his just in a different material it isn't as hard as you think just get it out clean it buy what ever material you want and use 3M super 90 Hi-Temp get the Hi-temp other wise it will come back off in the summer and just do it in halves glue one side lay the material on then when it is pressed on do the other side. AS for the visors I'm having my Mommyhttp://www.naxja.org/forum/images/smilies/smile1.gif sew the material over the old after I glue it.

there you gohttp://www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums...milies/ven.gif
