Headliner
Re-upholstering my headliner myself, but i dont wanna use the standard fabric that normally goes up there, ive got some thick canvas, white. I wanna glue it up there. Have sharpues readily available to me, or a friend, if inspiration hits.
Ive done this before with a thin hawaiian cloth and spray adhesive, it worked okay.
I guess im just looking for any thoughts, advice, tips, etc...
Thanks

Clean the liner up of all the glue, then lay your resign down then your fiberglass mat then apply more resign and roll all your air bubbles up. If you mix it right you'll get about 15mins of working time, longer if you don't add a lot of hardner. The bedliner would be cheaper and easier IMO. You still have to prep the area but the fiberglass can be a pain.

I redid mine with tweed fabric an turned out really good. Plus u can take project board from a dollar store an draw out an make ur own designs, cut em out then glue em to it then glue your fabric right over it

careful of what kind of glue you use. i did my headliner, (scroll to the bottom of page two for pics) https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/ove...126339/index2/ and I learned a couple things doing this. one make sure the fabric is dark or very thick as the glue will seep into the fabric, turning it the color of the glue. Also I used the 3M high adhesive stuff ($20 a can) and it works wonders. no need to fiberglass the thing, thats a lot of extra un-needed work in my opinion but to each his own. post pics when your done. also, i did mine in my hotel room while on a job assignment, not that tough of a job, just time consuming if you want it to turn out right. best of luck to ya!!
