I made sure to grab all brackets, screws, and the harness from roof to passenger kick panel.
I did make 2 interesting discoveries on Saturday:
1) My 1993 has the harnesses set up for outside temperature sensor - just needed the final harness from by Battery to temp sensor + sensor itself. Pulled one from the junkyard off of a 1990 Cherokee. And my local Jeep dealership was able to order a new sensor for about $22.
2) The Console Harness pulled from the 1990 Wagoneer has no matching connector plugs for my 1993 Cherokee Sport, and some of the wire colors are different than what schematics show for 1993. However, that same 1990 Cherokee that I got the sensor from DOES seem to match the wire colors & plug types. I think I'll be making one more trip to yank the harness from it & make install that much easier. If the vanity mirror connectors happen to differ, I'll just splice the ones from the Wagoneer onto the new one.
My headliner is in fantastic shape; just needs the holes cut for the console.

Nice. I didn't grab the outside temp sensor as I didnt know I needed one. (learning curve haha) so maybe this weekend. Going to hit up Joanns fabric tonight to see what they got in stock. Might just end up getting the stock headliner material with the back padding.

Yes, that link is very helpful, and thanks.
I went back to JY, and was able to get the Overhead Console harness from a 1991 Cherokee. Wires are a dead on match for my 1993. There were only 2 minor differences:
1) The power wire bundle used a different connector than whats in mine (the other bundle connected is dead on match).
2) The switched power wire is in non power bundle on this harness, but my car has connecter with it on power wire bundle.
Simplest solution is to splice the current Dome light/reading light connector onto new harness & shift the switched power wire to it. Everything else should be like installing it at dealership.
I took advice from the link, brought tracing paper, and made hole cutting template for the console brackets. Hopefully that should make process go faster.
BTW, the Mopar P/N for the Ambient Temperature sensor is 4688204. The one I got from jy is metal, but the new ones are all plastic. It was $23.43 with tax in Washington State.

Didn't get to the headliner this weekend although it was a busy weekend. Completed both the overhead console and the sound bar I recently bought along with installing the new speakers. Here are some pics of them.

That sound Bar is amazing. Will have to eventually look into something like that.
I hit junkyard yesterday to find a match on that power connector, and came up null. However, the Grand Cherokees used one very similar on their power mirrors, so I snagged a matched set & have spliced the female end into my Cable. Just need to splice the male end into the car, and then do a power trial on console.
BTW, there was a different thread that presented this link for LED replacement bulbs. I'm seriously thinking about going all LED in the Console, and eventually replacing the instrument cluster bulbs too.

I did make a console hole cutting template to use. Got a basic tracing from a headliner in the junkyard, and then cleaned up the lines at home using my actual console.
Will post some pics after I get the ball rolling. Hope the template works out right ( will double check it against that install guide measurements).

I don't know how far you have gotten yet, but don't worry about the vanity mirrors: There are only 2 types of power connectors for it: a 2-wire (power + ground) and a 1-wire (power only). The lighted visors are designed in such a way that even with a 2-wire connectors, the visor is still (redundantly) grounded through the mounting screws/bracket, so no matter what type of connectors you have, all you need to feed the visors is power and they will work.

Thanks for heads up on the vanity mirror lights. The harness I grabbed has 1 connector on pink wire & uses mounting as ground, which matches the visors I have.
I also have correction to make from my previous post. The stock power connecter in my car for console is dead on match for the ones used on Grand Cherokee power mirrors (did not need male end after all). I just successfully plugged harness directly in & ran power check on Console. Lights function correctly. Compass comes on & let me set variance, but did not see calibration screen. Did not see temp either, but the outside thermometer has not been mounted/connected yet. I do so much like it when install is plug & play for most part.

I looked under the kick panel and just my luck none of the connectors match up...none!!! So looks like I'm in for some good ol splice n tap style hook ups... Was able to eliminate the keyless entry connection as I don't have keyless but the rest of it it Greek to me. Fun week ahead of me trying to figure this all out :/

Got my overhead Console installed, and it went smoothly, except bolting on the Temperature Sensor...THAT was a pain (had to remove Engine underside mud cover, and had to use hand wrench - no way to fit socket wrench in). Its working great, did not even have to calibrate the compass - set the variance to my area, and it locked on. Temperature reading seems right too. I also added extra touch of replacing the light bulbs with "Cool White" LEDs from SuperbrightLEDs ( also did Cargo Light, Glove box, and Step/Courtesy). The Cool white color looks nice on the grey interior.
The keyless entry cables were part of harness, but I did not bother hooking it up. Every Jeep owner Ive talked to said its worthless, and a far better method is to buy/install Car alarm & set up remote locks using it. My rig currently does not have power door locks, but thats on list of OEM things to add in.
I'm not sure how to post pictures on here ( still kind of new to this forum). The insert image feature only seems to accept web links. I tried using facebook pic links, but it shows it as broken link. Guess I'll try uploading to a photo site, and then try that.

If you want a good laugh. Call a dealership, And ask how much is a compass/temperature module is for your '94? I was quoted $699, a couple of years ago, for my '91. When I redid my headliner, and overhead console. I used the factory org. fabric. (1989-1993 all used the same module) Yours should also have MPG's If it is a 1994, It was added after the '93 change in modules for Overhead consoles. Looks good though.
