The harness itself will work with the stock bulbs. It will be about 30% brighter. It's a very noticeable difference over the stock beam. If you still want brighter after that go with an h4 (as far as that goes its preference or cost that you will decide on), or even just some better replacement bulbs, even new bulbs will be brighter if you still have the original sealed beams (deterioration over time and all).

Never got to install the kit yesterday did how ever get the Silverstars installed b4 the skys opened up . Just went for a ride what a freaking difference if installing the harness make them even brighter im gonna need a dimmer ...lol...

The harness will make a world of difference and your headlight switch will like you for installing the harness, too.

I think I missed something. LOL not unusual. still learnin here. you have H4 bulbs, which light housing did you get. I have heard there are good ones and bad housings to buy for the upgrade. thanks for your time. by the way I did a search for the brightvstars and there was an issue with the ballast on some of those lights by brightvstars. dont know if yours are one of those with issues.. good luck

Ya its in only had drivers side headlight after hooking every thing up traced it down to bad connection where they crimped the two yellows on the low beam relay .Got that fixed and man what a difference . Well worth the 40.00
No h4s here Sylvania Silverstar head lights
