Headlight switch-button replacement

Headlight switch-button replacement
My 1993's headlamp button has broken behind the dash board where it attaches. When I took the front of the dash off, i still could not get to the part. It seemed as if it was behind something else way up under the dash??? Has anyone had to replace theirs?
