Headlight Replacement?

The only way to get brighter light is with more wattage. Of course, too much wattage, and you'll melt the wiring harness.
No offense, but leave the blue headlights to the ricers.
In fact, you get less usable light from such a bulb than from a regular clear bulb, and here's why: A blue filter removes nonblue components of the light passing through it. Halogen bulbs produce very little light in the blue frequency range. When you put a blue filter on the bulb or lamp, you are reducing the amount of usable light that gets from the glowing filament to the reflector, to the lens and from there to the road.
No offense, but leave the blue headlights to the ricers.

IMO and others may have a total different aspect...but i have personally seen many blue headlights and also been in vehicles with blue headlights...and not once have they ever blinded me like stated in that link...and i do agree that they are not the brightest, but thats why in my case they will be just the dims...my hid's come with brights that are normal color...i like the look of the blue lights(something different and kinda stands out from others)...to each there own, if you dont like it, dont do it...its that easy

Get some E Code H4 housings, good bulbs, and upgrade your wiring.
Autopals if you want to be cheap or Cibies if you want to spend a little more and get the best.
Osram, Philips, and Narva are the bulb brands you want to stick with. Stay away from blue coated bulbs.
SUVLights and a few other places sell premade harnesses. You can also make your own fairly easily.
Don't even think about running HIDs unless you're willing to spend $500+ to do it right.

I bought some HID Projector head light for my 98 Cherokee similar to the ones in you pic. I really wasn't to impressed with them for one reason is that I live in South Texas in the middle of no where and the high beam on the projectors suck.I do like how the low beam works. (That is only my opinion). But I did talk to one of by buddies he has a 97 Cherokee and he bought the one one E-Bay with out the projectors with the and they work great. I already ordered mine and I should have them by the weekend.

HID's can be brighter! If you truely want brighter/cleaner lights then you want projectors! True projectors!
Our 06 accord has 6K HID's..and my 88 jeep has brighter head lights which are sealed beams! Accord has great lights..jeeps just that much better!
Idk if mines just a fluke or what but my lights are bright on low beams! Brighter than most cars! I use silverstar sealed beams! My buddies 96 with Hids is no brighter than mine, and his don't have as nice of a pattern as mine either!
My headlight harness is 23-24 years old and my buddies 96 has a new HD harness in his..yet still no brighter! He payed more got the same and possibly slightly less output...and also more scattered light! My lights are direct & clean & clear! His are blue & scattered and equal to mine!
Like posted above..its all in what you want..you want blueish tinted headlights? Get Hids but you better get the right ones or output will be no better..you want clean/bright output without the blue? Then get silverstars! Thats what it comes down to!
My buddy (tyler) has great housings now and alot of people use & love them..it just doesn't give as nice of a pattern as my lights! He's shelling out for the best he can get though! Not sure which housing but he thinks getting a better housing will fix the scattering problem. We will see but you just can't beat 40 bucks for the output I got.
I'd upgrade the harness as well because its so cheap & it'll help with output! But man 40 bucks for these suckers new..great lights!
