Head Light Question
Is there any way to keep the low beams on when you switch to high beams?

I'd think they'd get too hot.
Why?
Need better output?
Have you upgraded to the Putco headlight harness that adds relays to the very poorly designed headlight system we all have from the factory?
Even with stock sealed beams people get a noticeable difference it brightness.

I have been reading a lot about the Putco harness here on the forum but just checked the Putco website and they don't list any for my 85 Anyone know if there is one that might substitute?

Are your headlights the same sealed beams as, say, my 87?
You may just use the same one, and Putco isn't aware they are the same.
Or you can build your own.
All the harness does is add a fuse and a couple relays to take the load off the sub par wires and headlight switch.
You just use the OEM wires and switch to activate the relay, which powers the headlights directly from the battery thru heavier gauge wires.

Don't feel bad I just looked up for my 98 XJ and they don't show anything for it either. I found one for my 65 Chevy P/U a couple of years ago but not my 98 XJ. Go figure...

Yeah, I think that I read on here that it was a Chevy Blazer. That's what I think what many have bought them for and they worked on our XJ's but not positive.
