I see alot of different HID and H4 head light conversion kits and I was wondering if anyone had done one. If so whats the differeence is the vision better does it run through the stock switch just wanting to know thanks
I did the h4 conversion and upgraded the harness. Im currently running 55/100 6000k bulbs and they are super bright. 6000k is as white as you can get before you get the blueish light. It was really easy and fairly cheap. Definitely one of the best mods I have done to my jeep. I ran the Sylvania silverstars for a few years and the difference is like night and day.
Mine runs through the stock switch so no extra wiring had to be done other than the harness.

Umm im not sure the name brand they are.
I got the headlights off ebay. The store was called autopal. A bunch of people on here bave used them. They are glass not cheap plastic. They were like $25.00 for both, and the harness was $18.99.

I had 8k in my last XJ and loved them! The only downside is the stupid light delay "feature" turns on the HIDs whenever you shut off the ignition. jmm0122, have you possibly found a way around this problem? I assume there is something you could unplug to bypass the problem.

I would go with Delta Housings and HID's (if you can afford them) or go with DDM Tuning HID's to put in the Delta housings..

I did the H4 conversion and noticed a huge difference, not sure what bulb is in them, but, they are Hella brand and paid $140 for them. It was worth it. And becuase the housing is still glass it's an easy upgrade to HID's
I just bought some autopal from ebay and I am able to see a huge difference from stock to the new autopal here is the link I bought the DOT approved ones not to sure if there is a difference in light between the DOT and E-code. I will snap some pictures of the finished product.

i used a projecter setup from a MR2 i found online, then i used driveing lights as fogs... i will say that was the best, it came a price tho.. i had to take thos out and put the poop-stars back in.
if i was back in your place. and had to do this all again. i would save money and do a retorfit. nice projceters, D2S HIDs, custom houseings, relay kit .everything... but its up to you
this is what i would get

I have a set i ordered off ebay in both my vehicles. They are great - i use silverstars in them.
Just today i ordered the eautoworks.com harness upgrade. I've heard great things about the profound improvement from better wiring + relays. $22 shipped with coupon code "JeepForum"
