Hello, has anyone had this problem. When the Jeep is cold I hit the switch and the A/C turns on. But when I drive and park, drive and park after a while I need to open the hood and tap the compressor and it will engage the clutch and the air will blow cold again. Tried putting another ground but didnt work. What else can it be?

heat can cause the coil inside the pulley loose pull or the gap from the front plate and the pulley is getting to wide.

 

Time to replace, you might hit it one day and have a face full of r-134.
