How much weight can you haul 1996 Jeep Cherokee stander springs. I need to haul 25 bags of corn weight 1250 lbs 200 miles.

That is alot of weight for a stock cherokee,I do not have any figures to look at but from my own exsperience I would not feel good about it. This assume you are not using a trailer.

you can easily tow that on a trailer. that would be a lot to put inside the jeep.

i brought 4 people 6 cases of beer and enough cloths for a long weekend to OCMD from PA no problem. i know that stock Cherokee springs are prone to sagging, but you should be ok as long as ya dont do it too often, probably get some use out of your bumpstops too.

Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) 4900 lbs.

Empty weight about 3100 lbs.

Useful payload about 1800 lbs of people, cargo, fuel.

Don't put it all in the cargo area. Fold down the rear seat and distribute load.

I think the xj stock springs are rated at 1/4 ton, new. I think about putting 12 100lb bags of cement in the back of that cargo area, just a little scary to me.
If you do and make it let us know.

Nope. 1,250 lbs each. Check my earlier post. Straight from the factory door label. No thinking or guessing.

If you haul stuff all the time look into some over load springs or maybe some air shocks.
