Im working on an 88 inline 6 and it wont start It has spark to all plugs (Not bright) And appearsto be getting fuel or smells like it anyway while cranking around only two or three times a stong fuel smell is noticed like its floodingany ideas would be helpful

 

if it has a spark like you say it does and isnt starting there is no fuel. if there was fuel getting in you would at least hear a couple cylinders pop. try the cam position. there could be valves stuck

 

You need a strong, blue, snapping spark. Yellow/orange/white indicates a weak spark, which may not be strong enough to start the engine.

The #1 cause of weak spark is a weak ignition coil. They can be tested for both primary and secondary resistances with a meter and a manual.
