Has anyone ever considering moving from 15" to 16" tires/rims? I know I am considering it myself...I can see some ride benifits and stability...So I am curious if anyone else has considered the move. Also can you think of any pro's and con's of such a move on an XJ?

Cons would be tire costs, 16" wheels will cost more as far as tires goes then a 15" wheel will.

Food for thought.

Yeah I know they will cost more I am just curious if there would be any performance benifits like more stability on and offroad...better onroad handling and so on..

Well you will feel more bumps both on and off the road because of less rubber on a 16" wheel.

my buddy runs 16s with equivilant to 31" swampers and love them. you do feel more of the road, but they are a lot more stable on turns according to him. plus i think they look good, even though they're only an inch bigger, you can tell. plus, i've seen tire prices from $3 to $30 more than 15s per tire. not bad IMO.

Only reason I asked was I have an oppurtunity to get some 31" goodyear mtr's on some MOAB rims that are 16" with about 85% tread for around $400-450...and that's for 5 of them...

I got my boggers in 16 because they had less sidewall and the lugs come down farther on the side.
