My harmonic balancer is going out. I'm gonna tackle it in a couple hours.

Any Pointers?

Use a proper HB installation tool (like from harbor freight), don't just use the bolt to press it on, you can break off the end of the crank snout. Use high temp silicone to seal the keyway.

Well that was extremely easy, it had migrated out a little over 1/4 inch and started hitting the mechanical fan. And there's no reason to remove anything extra besides the belt

I need to do mine today(94 cherokee 2wd). It busted apart when I went to cranking it this morning. Good thing to know you dont have to remove radiator.

NO new crank seal?? I hope you torque to to spec.

Last year my balancer (the outer portion) decided to bail out while driving 60 mph.....it made a odd thud, boink kaplooey and it was game over. Luckily nothing else got damaged.
