From Joe Peters and well stated. Sounds harsh but just makes sense:

"Let’s play a game.

You pretend that you are the only one that knows what year/engine/model, etc that you are asking about.

We will all pretend you never asked a question until you provide at least the bare minimum of information about your vehicle".

I second this. Details are always nice. Also what do you mean by "Hard starting"? Everyone has their own definitions for things like that.

is it cranking slow? like a starter with worn teeth,? Or is it cranking good and just not firing? have you checked fuel pressure? spark? a number of things possible, crankshaft sensor, starter, distributor, fuel injectors, fuel pump... almost anything.. start with the simple things first. let us know what you find..

I'm sorry, do you mean it cranks at a low speed or do you mean there's a pause between turning the key and the starter actually engaging?

If it's cranking really slowly, get the battery tested(May just have a low charge or may need to be replaced). If it takes a while to start cranking, could be the relay, switch, or solenoid/starter itself (and parts will most likely need replacing).

Yeah. Starters soaked with oil from leaking oil filter adapter seals don't work well.
