Can someone help me out with my tcase? It is difficult to shift. I've adjusted per the manual. I'v also made sure the cross bar which runs perpendicular to the body is level. If someone knows how to fix this or to determine if it is the tcase or shifter I'd appreciate the help. Winter is on its way and I need 4x4 cause of where I live. I have a 1987 XJ with 1990 running gear, it now has a 242 tcase. thanks in advance.....

 

when is the last time you changed the fluid? My 231 responded really well to a fluid change.

So you've looked to make sure the linkages haven't come out of those plastic snaps?
