Hard brake line compatibility?

Hard brake line compatibility?
Does anyone know if all the OEM steel brake lines from a 99xj will go into a 96xj? My buddy and I work at a dealership and he got pre bent steel brake lines for his 99xj and when I went to order some for my 96xj, they were discontinued.
