Arrow Hand Brake 97 XJ

My hand brake on my 97 XJ button popped out causing my handle not to retract and brake light to stay on. Found button and reinstalled and it finally released parking brake but now I have no ratcheting at all, parking brake handle will not set.

Is this a cable issue or handle issue ?
I guess it needs replaced if anyone has a working one to sell I am in Tennessee.

Thanks Rodney/BOXXY

Remove the center console and get a look at it. I've never heard of this happening

I bought my current '98 with a temporary fix for the button. It never looked quite right, but worked well enough -until one day the button popped out. Having wasted too much time & effort removing the lever form my parts '96, only to find it didn't fit, I just got another one off Fleabay.

Sadly I've lost my contact for parts in TN.
