Default h/p axle

What year would be the best to get the front h/p dana 30 out of for my 2000 xj sport, I want to get rid of the l/p axle. thank you

I would imagine year wouldn't be as important as the mileage or abuse on the Jeep.

you want hp30 out of 97-99. the shafts have the larger u joints

to be safe, i'd say a 99. they did use different hub units and brake caliper mounting between years. not sure what year the change was tho. that's why i say 99. just to be safe.

and for the record, all years had the larger u-joint. i'm sure only the vac disco units had the 260. my 89 limited has the 297's.
