I have a 94 XJ, it doesnt have temp, oil, water, volt guages just warning lights. can i get a cluster from the jy that has the actual guages? and will they all work or do i have to change the dash harness and all that good stuff... thanks

 

I'm not sure that you posted in the right section. I'm pretty sure this isn't FAB, but OEM tech.

But to your question, I'm pretty sure if your truck didn't have the gauges it wouldn't have the sending units or sensors (depending on which gauge your talking baout) to power the gauges it didn't come with.

I'm thinking you'd need more than just the dashboard gauge cluster.

 

Just did this in my 93 you have to change the temp sending unit and the oil pressure unit takes all of ten fifteen minutes then the gauge is plug and play, pm me if you need anything else happy to help

 

X2 I just had to replace my oil pressure sending unit it was just over 20 and probably similar for the temp

 

get them off the donor xj its pull and pocket at the local u pull it lol

 

I have a 2000 Xj and mine was the smae way but it had the dummie lights that would pop out and hit you in the head with a hammer when they came on. but i just got a new one and mine plugged right in and works great.

 

91-96 gauges will work. Will need to swap oil and coolant temp sensor

 

Moving to oem tech... if u guys see things posted in the wrong section report it... there not gonna get in trouble... just gonna move the post to the right spot and tell the op to pay attention... that being said...

Yeah mine has the dummie lights, only come on when theres trouble... so its just plug and play???
