Hi folks

I seem to have a grinding / vibration coming from the passenger side front when Im either idling in reverse (foot on brake and only happens first thing in morning) or slowly moving (at any time of day).

** This only happens when the Jeep is in 2WD...it does not happen when it is in 4 Hi (first thing in the morning or any other time)

What could the problem be?

Rig: 1999 Cherokee Limited with LSD in the rear (stock) Selec trac 4x4, I6.

I recently flushed out the TC with new oil, both diffs have been cleaned up to (rear with Friction mod in it) Im guessing either U joints on outer front wheel or maybe a bad U joint on the drive shaft? Or could it be bad tranny mounts? (it does jolt when you move from Drive to reverse and vice versa)

 

Brakes or bearing good place to start.

 

If it was the bearing, wouldnt it make a noise moving forward to? When its in 4 wheel - why no noise? I put new rotors and pads on about 500 miles ago.
