grinding lip on 8.25
I'm thinking of rebuilding my 8.25 and was wondering if anyone has ground down the lip on the bottom of the diff for clearance.
If you did how much can safely be ground off?

I think it's okay. Have heard of guys who did, and after mine got bashed a few times I had it ground down, only until it meets the diff cover. Going more would expose the edge of the cover to getting ripped off.

Thanks, that is more or less what I was thinking. With my 14 bolt I was able to remove about 1" on the bottom not a big difference but a little less to snag on the rocks.
