I have an old garmin 2610 that I have used for centuries (well, it seems like it). I need to buy a different one that at least shows the roads I'm on. The 2610 came with a remote control and you could scroll your pointer across a river or hill or even off the page and it would tell you the distance. Are there any gps' that will still have this feature. I can't find any. It was great for hunting.

I would recommend a magellan roadmate my grandma got my one for Christmas and works great, thin so it doesn't take much space when i'm not using it and comes with a free map update, even though it should be updated for the past 1-3 years already
