Default got a question. dont know what to do

i have a 88 xj 4.0L with a np231. im going to put a lift on my xj soon and i was wondering if i could get some advice in lifting the rear. i wanna lift the rear like 1 to 2 inches maybe 3 depending on how much i lift the front. would it be better to lift the rear with add a leaf, shackles, or block. im not a fan of blocks but alot of ppl use them. ur addvice would really be helpful.
Also i live in southern california if anyone knows of a good and inexpensive place to get lifts from. thanks all

I would go with 2" Rough Country coil spring spacers and 2" rear blocks. Auto zone has blocks and any custom vehicle shop should have the spacers. Now that just for a couple more inches. I have blocks on mine and they hold up good even bashing it offroad. Just make sure the block sits in the hole good and flush and you crank the u-bolts down good on them.

You can always go with Dodge durango leafs but it will stiffen the ride up.
Blocks are quick and ok for a couple inches if you go much higher deff look into diff leafs

im getting front coils and shocks from a friend so the fronts not a problem im just worryed about the rear. my leafs are starting to sag if i put blocks on the rear is it going to be a problem cuz the leafs are worn. can i put a leaf assist kit with block to straiten the leaf springs and help make it allitle stiffer?

Ya O'Reilly auto parts has a leaf that goes on top to add support and the block can go on the bottom. You can add the block and support leaf to help stiffen it up. But i would replace the leafs when you get a chance but it shouldn't cause prob sagging just won't sit as high as the front but most cherokees sit higher in the front it will look fine.

Make sure the front coils arn't like 5" lift.
