I cant move it in or out. I believe it is frozen in the off position.... I can turn it left or right.
I soaked it with WD as best as I could last night, and let it sit..I was also tapping/banging it with a leather hammer.
I will try the leather hammer again this morning...

Ok, So ,I have more movement in the **** this morning. Its moving in and out like an 1/8" but surely not freed up.
Does the rotation position of the **** left or right effect the removal of the **** ?

Rotation has no affect. I would just cut it off seeing switch is all ready shot. Hit junk yard get used **** and use . Destroying dash is not an option really.

Cutting it off was the answer. Thanks. And seeing as I had my instrument cluster out it made access a little easier when I got the nut that holds it off....
Now , I need to find a new ****.
