Good A/T tires for 89?
I am getting some new tires for winter and I have been lookin at A/T tires but I do not know which bran to go with... My jeep is not lifted and the tire size is 225/75/15 my old tires are dunlop A/T But I am looking for a different brand for the price. I would like to keep it 100-130 range per tire.
Thanks!

if your staying stock and dont plan on doing much agressive wheeling id suggest bfg A/T's by far one of the best all terrain tire out there both on trail and on road.

or the general grabber at2s cheaper than bfg and look great. Had em and they were pretty good. I got mudders when i went higher to complete the look and since i do mostly muddy trail riding.

X's2 of the bfg a/t's, they are an excellent tire, I run them on mine for daily use (keeps the wear off my swampers lol). They last a good long time too. A similar tire: General grabber AT2, very similar to the bfg's tread pattern, little cheaper, don't know how they last though. Firestone Destination AT is a decent tire, if you're looking for something less agressive than the bfg.

My girlfriends 96 has 235/75 Liberator AT tires. They have a pretty good tread pattern and wear EXTREMELY well. Theyve been on there for a long time and still have more than half tread left. Only problem is, because of this hard compound they are kinda slippy on smooth wet asphault and slushy snow. Other than this, they are very good for little offroad stuff like sand, soupy mud, etc.

I was calling couple of tire shops and one shop said that cooper all terrain tires maybe my best bet for 120 a tire. I never really thought of cooper tires for A/T anyone have experience with cooper tires? All the tires I have had for any car no matter what always looked like they were low on pressure which was really annoying. I heard coopers made theirs not to look like that?

I have had pretty good experience with Goodyear Wrangler Radials, $78 each at Walmart. Like anything else there are people that don't like them.

Which Cooper A/T? The ST or the ATR? One of my professors in college had generally good luck with the STs on his Chevy truck.
