get the BFG A/T. Great on and off road traction. They last a LONG time too. You could run 235's without any issues on a stock XJ.

I highly recommend Firestone Destination A/Ts. I run the M/Ts year round and they are fantastic in all conditions. I got 45k out of my last set (on the front wheels - rears are still going)

The best handling and ride i've had is with Bridgtone duellers APT. There also very good in the snow. The best traction i've had is with the Grabber ATs which are almost identical to the BFGs but cost less. I've also tried Wrangler RTS which rode good but were not very good in the snow.

Ive got the same tires on my 99 Cherokee. They actually suprised me when they helped pull me out of a mini tank trap and through some deep mud, Didnt even slip going up an all mud hill either, so off-road I wouldnt have any complaints for being stock and there quite on the road. But if I was going to get another Tire id get what everyone recommends, the BFG ATR is probably the best tire for the price. And if you can't find any around your townjust order from discount tire, I believe their shipping is free?
