If your just looking for an OEM type replacement shock shop around your local parts stores. Stick with a name brand shock. Also ask for any sales or rebates.

Yeah theres a couple like Pro Comp, Rancho, Bilstein, Skyscrapper, Monroe etc. Just seeing if theres any one that is better than other? Or will they all be the same for the most part?

The shocks you list cover a wide range of price. Bilstiein at the high end and Monroe at the lower end. Here is a good read on shocks. All fit your '96. Click on the link next to "Brand" for info on each one.

I put a set of these on both our '96 Blazer and my uncle's '98 Durango. They offer a bit better performance than the OEM shock.

I have KYB GR-2 in the rear and Monroes in the front. I like the KYBs much better. And Rock Auto has them for $27.

We like the GR-2 a lot. GOOD shock for the price.

You can get them at Shockwarehouse for $116.64 w/free shipping.

By the way the GR-2 and Excel-G are the same product.

Also while im here, any idea where I could get some Door panels for a decent price? The ones on mine got the arm rest part broken on one side and the driver side it hanging in there.

For cheap door panels, go the your local junk yard.

Quadratec might have new ones, but I bet they are expensive. And you really don't need expensive door panels. Much better to spend the money on other critical parts.
