it's a decent start but your rear springs will sag quickly. You're better off going ahead and getting the http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_4x.html then you won't be doing the constant add ons like leaf packs. I started with the 3" RC, added leafs, adjustable trackbar and ironman lower control arms. Then 2" shackle and poly coil spacers, now doing sye even though I eliminated my vibes.

ever look at the kits rustys off road offersthese kits are made in the usa i had rough country and found the ride very stiff im sitting on 10.5 inchs of lift from rustys and find the ride much better than before just my in put

I got 4.5 x2 series. I got most of my vibes out. The directions were crap but I figured it out. Just need a SYE, too bad i have a 242 otherwise it woulda been done by now. I can't tell if mine is sagging or just on slightly uneven ground.

if ur guna get it, dont get it with add a leafs, just spend the extra dollar and get the full leaf kit. add a leafs wear out a lot fast than the full kit

I would strongly suggest that any lift kit that you buy to save up and get a full leaf pack.

dont mean to highjack, but in my case i was considering add a leafs seeing how i bought my xj 2 weeks after brand new stock height rear leafs were installed. bad idea or no?

personally i wouldnt buy anything rough country again i have there 4.5 full leaf never been happy with it i would go Rubicon express if you have the money to do so...i am pulling all my rough country stuff and getting Rubicon stuff here pretty soon
