Default Going to the JY tomorrow, got a couple questions

I'm just in town for a couple weeks and don't have my own tools up here, so I don't feel like borrowing a whole set of sockets lol.

Basically I want to know exactly what I need to pull the front coils and the top of the strut(strut plate??) off of an 83(84?)-89 ford thunderbird?

Also thinking about grabbing some s10 or dakota leaf springs for a bastard pack. What would I need for that?

Sorry if its too specific lol, maybe just a nice range

Not specific to your job but:

Sockets
Screwdrivers
Pliers
BFH
Knife
Combination wrenches/adjustable wrench

That's typically what I take and I can pull most of what I'm after

for the spring you need a full socket set - i don't know the sizes.
You'll also need to rent/borrow a "Strut Spring Compressor" from your local auto parts store

For the leafs you'll need a 21mm? deep socket and a breaker bar, as well as a big crescent wrench or another 21mm? socket and ratchet at a bare minimum. A hammer, utility knife, and big flat blade screwdriver also strongly advised.

Holy ****. So I was at the JY for about 3 hours and managed to pull one coil ha! Going back in the morning for the other one. Anyways, I found an OEM tire carrier. I have a 99 cherokee though, will it fit, and would I be able to wheel with a 31" tire mounted on it??
