Default Glove box hinge

I know o could probably find anothe glovebox at the junkyard but with my luck it'd just break again. Anyone got a better idea as to how to fix this crappy (in my opinion) amc design?
Anybody else had this happen to them?

I had the same problem. I fixed it with duct tape. I could not think of anything better at the time and it fit the bill. Has held up for a few years. Given the range of motion, ease of dropping the glove box out and easiness of using duct tape, I'll just redo it when the duct tape gives it up.

Thin gauge sheetmetal cut to shape, a couple screws and some nuts.
