Default getting very frustrated

First I find a plug now idea where it goes to then I disconnect battery and wires to clean and had to rewire something previous owner did. I then see the negative battery cable hanging there. And that goes to the body of the frame? Now I see a vacuum line also chillin no idea where it goes cant find any thing that needs plugged in nothing.

That plug is with the evap system I am pretty sure it should be plugged into the manifold almost right below where the picture was taken.. The plug looks like the a/c high pressure switch?? Not sure but look around a/c it should have one from the compressor and that one looks like the high pressure usually right under where the lines attach to the compressor

So I worked on it for about 4 hours rewired everything.noticed that the other end of the negative waa just hanging there.so I screwed it back to the frame.the wiring for the battery seems to be aftermarket and a thicker gauge. The battery as you can see is bosch 770 cca 25 watts:120.

Black ground is ground under the lip of the hood.other black negative I put down on the frame could not find where It was before.

Red positve one coming off power center other going into something that I have no idea if its factory or aftermarket. Pics
below.

Harness wiring seems to have a plug just chilling there.other plug goes alternator.

Any thoughts and help would be appreciated cause I am about to take it to a mechanic. Trying not to spend lots of money.

This sucks I just wanna fix this overcharge problem. Should I get a bigger battery? Or should I get factory battery wiring.

Starter solenoid, which seems weird because I thought on late models it went to the PDC first. You really need to gander under the hood of another 99.

This late model stuff is a bit out of my comfort zone.
