trial and error is the best solution for all of this..
carry some spare dana30 shafts.. they are a dime a doze in a JY...
8.8 swap.. 31 splines, usually come with 4:10 gears..
or dana 35 with super 35 shafts.. also pretty strong

all depends on how hard you wheel!
also depends on terrain..

if you cant go where you want on 33s.. then you need to relearn how to drive offroad.. pick your lines better and dont start your phrases with " hey yall watch this"...

Do not spend money on fixing up a D35. Spend the extra 200 bucks on a simple replacment rearend and regear that. ie (D44, 8.25 w/29spl, F8.8) For reasons on why do a simple searchs as I've typed it to many times on other threads about how a D35 will break and the advantages of the all three of the mentioned axles compared to each other.

I myslef swaped out my D35 for a XJ D44 that I put F8.8 discs on. That's about the best route you can go.

research

then come back to us.

all the questions you asked can be found quicker if you just spent some time searching and learning about what it takes to run tires of that size on an xj
